We are pleased to say that the science fair this year was a success where students showcased their projects to parents, teachers and peers. The projects covered areas in all aspects of science ranging from live demonstrations of volcanoes, sugar rainbow, heart and hydraulics to sharing research on fireworks, chocolate, UV light, our senses and many more.
Students used this day to develop and enhance their communication, social and organisational skills. Below is some of the feedback given by staff and students:
“It was very fun, exciting and informative. I really enjoyed talking to people and getting them to participate in our demonstration.”
“We had a lot of information and people were interested in what we said and we were very interactive with our audience.”
“Students worked well in teams and managed the situations well.”
“I was really impressed by the students and the effort that many of them put into it. Ablah Tayeebah has done an amazing job of organising this event for the whole school and inspiring the children in such a way.”
The judges’ scores and the votes from all visitors were added up to obtain the top three projects. The participants of these were rewarded with trophies while all other students were rewarded for their efforts by receiving medals for excellent effort and participation certificates.
